Seven Creative Strategies using a Stationary case
I'm presenting the final result of my first project in the art235 Graphic Design class. The following seven compositions were developed as personal samples of the Seven Creative Strategies learned in the first three weeks of the class. The object I worked with was my favorite stationary case.
A stationary case possesses several characteristics that can be represented by using the Seven Creative Strategies.
Category: Combinations
Title: "Stationary Chest"
This composition presents a metamorphosis of my stationary case from a plain case to a chest that offers creative treasures.
Category: Juxtaposition
Title: "Keep an Open Mind"
The idea behind this composition is to portray what comes to mind when we think of a stationary case.
Category: Isolation
Title: "Enter the Stationary World"
In this composition, I compared a stationary case to a door. Opening it, would imply the entrance to manual activities and creative time.
Category: Metaphor/Simile
Title: "Chaos Killer Case"
This composition aims to portray the power of a case to keep stationary organized and safe.
Category: Change of Context or Environment
Title: "Small Things Make a Big Difference"
In this composition, I aimed to transmit the fun of having everything you need for your creative work in one single place.
Category: Physical Shape Similarity
Title: "It'll Never Let you Down"
I found a stationary case can be compared to a briefcase. It's also useful and can hold what you need for a particular activity.
Category: Material Change, Swap or Focus
Title: "Environmentally Friendly Case"
Here, I wanted to portray that a stationary case can also help us take care of the environment.
