Final 1:1

I had my final 1:1 with Geraint on the 7th May, as a very final check in before the deadline. I showed him my final back cover and he liked it, he said it’s much better that I’ve shot my own image rather than using a stock one and it actually fits in better with the book because you can see the similarities between the sheet on the back cover and the sheet behind me in every portrait.
For my DWB the only thing I really have left is my final reflections, for each phase of the journey but also an overall evaluation. He suggested I think about the value of what I’ve created, how it could be used in the future, exploring the idea of identity through performance and character, and the fact that I’ve used myself.
For my images he really liked the retouching I’ve done as it’s minimal, yet brings more life to the images. The only thing he picked up on was the catchlights in my eyes- it’s normal to have one catchlight, however I have about 4, as I’ve used lights that are rectangular. So he suggested I get rid of the extra ones, but only for the hero images as they’re the ones where it’s noticeable. I can easily use the clone brush tool to get rid of them.
Overall, this final 1:1 was mainly just to go over everything to make sure I’m ready for the hand in and also to pick up on any very minor tweaks I need to make.
