My first steps in creating my designs was starting on illustration and outlines. I really wanted to do something that would showcase my illustration skills and incorporate my style of illustration. I created my illustration in procreate and colored it for fun afterwards. This has inspired me to want to do more of horoscope character creations. 

My humpback whale I traced from a real life image I found on the internet. 

Using a clear 5" x 7" etching pad, I carved out my goddess and whale. These photo's were taken after the inking process.

My first prints were a little duel and some are extra heavy, but after a couple prints I was able to figure out the correct ratio of ink and pressing.
