Phantom Menace Rotoscope Video & GIF

Artist Statement:

This collection consists of two artworks, each having two versions. Both artworks are rotoscope animations of video clips. Rotoscope animation is a form of animation which involves tracing the forms of a video clip, frame by frame. Traditionally, the frame rate of the video is changed to something around 10-12 frames a second. Both were primarily done in Adobe Photoshop, however some audio editing was done in Adobe Premiere Pro. I included a GIF version of each in order to really let the looping, liquid transition be the focus. The clips I chose are of a dunk from Aaron Gordon in the 2016 NBA Dunk Contest and of a sequence from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.
