Drink stall owners often find themselves at risk of scalding themselves while applying lids on the hot beverage cups. With this theme in mind, my design team decided to revolutionize the process of applying lids, to minimize the chance of scalding the hands of drink stall owners and increase the work flow efficiency with the help of a lid applicator.

Material selections were considered due to their thermal and physical properties. As the lid applicator will be exposed to high temperature liquids all the time, selecting the right materials is essential to maintain the structural integrity, reliability and rigidity.
