These are works that I produced during my first and second year, they might look very 'student' work but this marked my exploring process.
This performance is a dialogue between virtual identity and reality. In this 1-hour-long performance, I sit on the stool and look at a pre-recorded video of the same setting but without me sitting on the stool. While the pre-recorded video is playing, a live camera is set towards me. I am looking at the empty stool while audience is looking at me through online; I would not know who is watching the live video and the audience would not know what am I staring at.
The person who we are now is based on the information and data that we collected throughout our existence. Therefore our personas and identities are not always ours own.
Started from first and original image, the next and later drawings are all done by tracing from the its previous piece. The result turns out that the traced image constantly changing its shape and eventually transform into something else.
Boundary is a collaboration project that I invited 30 people to draw the periphery of their residing area spontaneously from their own memory. Each of these planes is a boundary of the space that we define it as a ‘place’. Our actions is limited by the way in which that space is produced. In other words, the physicality of the space would encourage us to behave in certain way, giving us illusion of being control.
