Inherent Forces + Number as Letter Form

The Inherent Forces + Number as a Letter Form project consisted of applying the principles of the five inherent forces of the square with point, line, shape and shape as letter form in an 8 inch square format/image area. In addition, I was required to develop a composition integrating the graphic elements and letter form utilizing positive and negative space—figure ground reversal. When designing this project, I had to imply the 5 inherent forces without showing them too literally. My final composition consists of various uses of sequences to imply the letter forms and helps imply figure ground reversal. In addition, I used a filled point and a point with just stroke to create a unique style and also imply parts of the 2 and the 3.
