LABS
OVERVIEW
Labs is a mobile app concept that provides a way for users to make enquiries on and conduct Medical Tests. Users can search for Labs in their Location, pick from a long list of Tests carried out in each Laboratories and Schedule a visit or Book an appointment for Home Service.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
A friend shared his experience on a visit to the Hospital. A lady was rushed in on emergency and while everyone was showing concern, he had a chat with his nurse. From their conversation he found out that people rarely visit the hospital for checkup or go to the Laboratory for Tests when they feel symptoms of Organ failure or some sort of inconvenience generally. These signs are ignored until, in most cases, it becomes too late.
These things happen for various reasons. Being a Nigerian living in Lagos, it ranges from inability to afford a test, to nonchalant attitude to knowledge of Medical Status, to Time Constraints and Unavailability of Reliable Laboratories.
As a designer, I took this as a cue to design a Solution to this Problem.

TAKEAWAY
This process of this project has been a great way for me to put my User Experience Knowledge to use. It has opened my eyes to different things I may have overlooked from the surface. The user requirements comes first in every decision to be taken. That's why the Persona is created in the first place.
