This was my first official character ever designed. Actually in the Character Design course we were required to create 2 characters at once so he is one of two of my first characters. That's right my first two characters start to finish in 8 weeks. Jaylon Mackie was created to serve as an ally in a fictional steam punk game, Industrial Blue Screen. 

I like to use Photoshop sometimes to capture parts of the character that I know I will struggle with drawing. Here you can see I can model the face better off of the real image vice a sketch. Same for the steam punk keyboard on the character's left arm.

In conjunction with importing real images into the concept and model sheets, I will trace clean lines over the image if need be.
