This comic is autobiographical, representing my time in the hospital dealing with CPAP machines, hospital machines, and the blessing of noise-cancelling headphones. The story and unique emanata reflect on the ability of sound to reinforce and shape its environment. The idea that the removal of sound could undo pain and reshape one's environment is key to the piece.
