This is the endpaper from the fifth issue of my second comic book series.
It's a two-page spread that appeared at the end of The Sean Ward Electric Comics Freak-Out #5 (vol. 1) - a 28 page black and white glossy magazine.
Designing these end papers for my comic books was one of the most satisfying parts of the process of making them. The one time I didn't have time and had to insert an image instead, it was heart breaking for me.
This is a good example of how I used to design these end papers. They feature the issue number as an artistic mofif, the series title big and bold, a letter to the reader from the artist, the baseline tilted all around, lots of little things to dive into, and a combination of hand-drawn and digital elements.
My inspiration for these end papers comes from 19th century advertising posters with busy designs and lots of text.
