Scientific Illustration - Phasme à Tiare

Before studying design, my dream was to be a Biologist.
So the Scientific Illustration Classes are some of my favourites this year.
Here's the first work - A black and white representation of an insect that uses mimetism.

To find references I went to the Muséum of Natural History in Paris and contacted the responsible of the Vivarium, so I coud see the insect alive, study it' movements and...touch it!

Phasme à Tiare
(Extatosoma tiaratum)

Pictures taken by me in the Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle de Paris.
Touching it is a very strange sensation, because is softer than it looks! =)
