Blog and Shop - Parents.Inc

In November 2020 I started my UI/UX Design learning journey. This wasn't a long time ago, but in February 2021, I felt ready to start working on real projects and I was lucky to meet my first client in March 2021.

My client (let's call her A.) wanted a website where parents can find simple, efficient and fun solutions for everyday life obstacles that parents have. Also, she wanted a webpage that is bold, clean, easy to read and different ("not another boring parenting blog").
MY ROLE
In this project, I was the UX/UI Designer and I was responsible for the strategy and design of the webpage.
I also produced all deliverables and I presented the solutions to my client.

During 1st of March and 19 March, me and A., had 3 meetings.

Firstly, we met to discuss about her idea for this project named Parents.Inc. In this meeting my goals were to connect with A., understand her project intentions and find out what is the project scope, who are the webpage users, what users will do on this webpage, how she wants to differentiate from the other parenting blog, how she would describe her webpage in a few words, are there any favourite colors, are there any webpages that she likes? what she likes about them? And last, but not least, is there any other important aspects that I should take into consideration?
While she presented her ideas and responded to all of these questions, I was taking notes and making sure I understood what are her project intentions and what content she will have on this webpage and how she imagines the experience for the users.

After the meeting, I put together all the information and based on them, I started sketching a prototype, using pen and paper. This led to my second meeting with her, when I showed her the prototype and explained about the process the user will experience on her webpage. At the end of the meeting, I got the OK to move on to the high fidelity prototype in Figma.

While working on the project in Figma, I made a few changes of the initial sketches, because I realised there were things that could have been done better for the target users.

Our third meeting was a happy one and also, very productive. I say happy, because A. loved my design of her webpage.

Parents.Inc website has 3 main pages:
HOMEPAGE - here you can find information about what they do, the latest articles about parenting, a short story about the team behind Parents.Inc presented in a slideshow and a section where you can subscribe to the newsletter.
SECRETS - here you will find the blog, where you can read all the articles and browse through the five existing categories.
SOLUTIONS - here you can find the online shop. This section will be available as soon as the first product will be launched by the team.
Prototype process:
This is my low fidelity prototype, which I started sketching as soon as I finished my meeting with A., because all the information were fresh and after our meeting, I already had some ideas.
