Be Global Branding Project

Description
This project was based on drawing out of four bowls from four different categories: animal, mineral, numbers, and letters. I drew panda, beryllium, 4153, and MK. I spent many hours researching and gathering information on pandas and beryllium and found that both of them are from China. I decided not to include the numbers or the letters due to it being optional. I wanted the company to be international to further connect it to China and the US, but "international" was too long of a word for my liking. I went with "global" instead to solve this issue. From my research, I knew that the abbreviation for "beryllium" was "Be", so I played with that to get "Be Global". This promotes the internationality of the company while still emphasizing what the company is: an international beryllium shipping company mostly based in US and China. These two countries are the largest natural producers of beryllium, so it made sense to base the company in these two countries. To add to the international feel of the company, I wanted to have "Be" in a circle and diagonal from each other to represent North and South America like on a globe with "Global" in a thick, sans-serif font next to it. To combine more internationalism and the science aspect of the company, I loosely based the "globe" part of the logo off of the Bohr model for beryllium. Luckily, it worked out that there were a total of four electrons, allowing me to create a simple compass feel around it. For mockups, I created an app, tote bag, and business card.
