IKEA: GOT Social Content

The last season of Game of Thrones created very high expectations and millions of followers were waiting for the launch. For this reason, brands wanted to use this topic to be relevant in those conversations.
The challenge with IKEA was how to talk about the event when the brand did not have the rights to the images nor the content and, at the same time, talk about the benefits of its products.

The solution:
Using the mottos of the families from the show, we found a way to highlight IKEA products while still directly communicating with the followers of the show.
The response was overwhelmingly positive. Hundreds of consumers and followers of both the brand and the show reacted en masse, making it to this day one of IKEA Kuwait's most engaging posts.
