This project called for a complete brand concept from idea, creation, and implementation. New France Brew 4 U is a business that brews beer and makes wine for it's customers using kits. The owner named the business after a local historic place and also named his unique beer creations after local places and historic people related to New France.

New France is also known as Electric City, one of the first city's in Canada to have electricity. They used a train that ran on a log rail road, hauling wood to the port in Weymouth, N.S.

The New France Brew 4 U logo was inspired by the train was the actual shop where they brew the beer was located on the waterfront where the port would have been. The train is a strong symbol of Electric City/New France and it helped to tell the story of the train traveling from city to the port. We incorporated the old style banner to go along with the branding elements of old maps (which you will see in later design elements). The wheat was added on either side for balance and as a typical "brewery" logo element, we used it to make a nod are the unique beer flavours he was creating for his customers.

Some of the last remaining artifacts from Electric City/New France, is the old maps of the city showing houses, building, trails, and rivers. We used this as the main inspiration in all designs, using tan aged-looking colours and hand-drawn elements. The canoe was hand-drawn to represent the name of this beer "Silver River". We wanted to keep an element that unified all labels, so we used the old ribbon with the name of his business. These labels were kept simple with no barcodes as they were printed in small batches and applied by hand.

To help announce the next phase of his business, we created brochures to leave in business breakrooms to encourage group ordering of wine kits. In addition to the original brand elements we introduced a vibrant wine colour.

The poster was distributed and hung up in local businesses with high traffic to help gain exposure for his business and new wine service. The graphics were created to look fresh, inviting, and delicious.
