This project is about Paul Verlaine and Arthur Rimbaud, the two famous French poets, who have made a huge contribution to the world literature. They were engaged in a passionate relationship, often called disastrous and wrong. Aggression was constantly present between them. Once Verlaine even shot at Rimbaud and it ended for him with a 2-year prison sentence. This artbook includes two parts - one on paper with poems by Verlaine and one on transparent foil with poems by Rimbaud. When brought together the words in the two parts overlap, move in a chaotic rhythm, but always meet at a certain point just like the two writers.
The poems are written over the period 1871-1873, when the poets were in a relationship and the green colour was inspired by their excessive use of absinthe.
