Udaipur, formerly the capital of the Mewar Kingdom, is a city in the western Indian state of Rajasthan. Founded by Maharana Udai Singh II in 1553, It is located in the fertile, circular Girwa Valley to the southwest of Nagda, which was the first capital of Mewar. It’s set around a series of artificial lakes and is known for its lavish royal residences.
Often referred to as the 'Venice of the East', the city of lakes Udaipur is located around azure water lakes and is hemmed in by lush green hills of Aravallis.
It is surrounded by the Aravali Range, which separates it from the Thar Desert. It is around 660 km from Delhi and approximately 800 km from Mumbai, placed almost in the middle of two major Indian metro cities.
Udaipur is a tourist destination and is known for its history, culture, scenic locations and the Rajput-era palaces, Also it is well known for "the most romantic spot on the continent of India"

City Palace, Udaipur is a palace complex situated in the city of Udaipur in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It was built over a period of nearly 400 years, with contributions from several rulers of the Mewar dynasty. Its construction began in 1553, started by Maharana Udai Singh II of the Sisodia Rajput family as he shifted his capital from the erstwhile Chittor to the new found city of Udaipur. The palace is located on the east bank of Lake Pichola and has several palaces built within its complex.

Udaipur is indeed a beautiful and one of the top destinations to visit in India. One should not think twice if planning for a weekend trip or a solo trip. There is something in the air of Udaipur which is definitely calling me back.
Camera Info: The Project has been shot using a single smartphone only which costs around 13000 INR or 178.99 USD. The trip was a sudden plan and as mentioned above, I didn't think twice before planning that trip. I just want to put a point through this project is that the pictures can be clicked with any camera if you don't own any professional camera and want to purchase the camera to learn photography then you are completely wrong, Pick your phone and start clicking pictures. Always remember, your eye is your first camera.
