Juxtaposition Photography And Ilustration

Hello visitors! This is my work for the recent assignment given which is an assignment about Juxtaposition Photography and Illustration. For this assignment, it is required to have five juxtaposed photographs that has the combination of real life photographs and illustrations made from Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator software. The photographs will then be put inside the form of an A5 Digital Photobook. I have decided to make a design basing on the concept of "Being Different" in which I will further explain below.

"Being Different" concept

The concept of "Being Different" is the portrayal of someone that has unstable emotional state due to his differences. In this case, it was about his facial features in which the character has distinctive looks compared to the person around him.

Pre-visualisation - Mindmap
The 5 photographs will be connected as in creating a stories. The story will focus on the forlorn state of the main character. The story started gloomy at first but I believed every story needs to have a happy ending, so I decided to end the story in a positive note (shown in the last photograph).

Raw Photographs

These are the 5 raw photographs for the design. Each of the shots were taken based of the criteria listed out in the mindmap.
Top left to right: Photograph1, Photograph2, Photograph3
Bottom left to right: Photograph4, Photograph 5

Camera Setup
Post-enhancing the raw photographs using Adobe Photoshop.

These were how the photographs looked like after it were being post-enhanced using the "camera raw filter" function. I adjusted the photographs according to the desired lighting and color tone (warm as stated in mindmap).
Finalized Design after adding Illustrations (Photobook format)
This was how the design looked like in the digital photobook. The first picture on the left is     the cover pages for the digital Photobook. The pictures were arranged accordingly to                                      ascending order of the next pages of the photobook.
