Filipiniana Wedding Terno Gown

The very first from the "Release" Collection 2021, "Maria Clara's dream", a Filipiniana wedding gown. Mostly hand-sewn, the dress was constructed in over 1 month period. Inspired by the charm of vintage Manila high fashion circa 1950s-1960s, the gown features detachable terno sleeves, beaded sweetheart corset, light tulle ball gown skirt and decorated by the Mantilla veil, pearls, rhinestones and lace embroideries. There is so much beauty and elegance with the past. We are all ready to fall in love again and to celebrate it. Released, "la bellezza dell'amore." An original by Angeles.
The details of "Maria Clara's dream." The wedding gown was embellished with tiny rhinestones, pearls and floral lace embroidery. Rhinestones were scattered all over the mantilla veil. The bodice and the terno sleeves were also adorned by those elements. It is within this art that it shares a message of outstanding beauty in scarcity, that it gives birth to rarity, that in rarity it can show elegance. That also no matter how small we are often perceived, we still shine above all the odds. As the design flows to the simplicity of the sheer - it reminds us of our history that we were once always suspected of hiding our defenses beneath our clothes, hence the reason why this semi-transparent fashion was born during the colonial times. This matrimonial ensemble now carries both national heritage and the genuineness of the bride. Every piece has a correlation.
Sans the detachable terno sleeves the gown is in its dramatic silhouette. The rear view has the traditional lace up for the corset with an extra floor length tulle skirt that produces a white bourbon rose on a ribbon tie and a mini train. The bride releases the feel of divinity, sophistication, loyalty and commitment. An original by Angeles from the Release collection.
