Sketchbooks: Revisiting the BBoy.
Over the last few years I chose to delve back into the character subject of BBoys: The representation of the original style trendsetters and communicators of the early Hip Hop culture.
Since the 1980's a typical style was set by various originators and newer generations of artists to the 'Bboy character'. For me these characters are some of my earliest inspirations capturing a certain attitude and illustrated particular poses and gestures that were definitive of the culture.
Years on after I've progressed with my own style, I wanted to touch base with what is for me a foundation.
