Illustration Process: Holder of Blue Flames
I drew this piece as a means of practicing visual effects. For this one, I skipped sketching the piece first and went directly to the line art. Due to this decision, I struggled in properly foreshortening the character's left arm.
I decided to keep the coloring simple for this one, as I was mostly focused on getting to drawing the flame in the character's hand. I did color the line art however, so that it would go alongside the base colors.
I continued adding to the piece using a brush that creates fire like effects, until I was satisfied with the outcome.
