This shoot was inspired by Elena Kalis and taken using an iPhone protected by the lifeproof case. This shoot took place in my school's swimming pool after much persuasion and begging to my teachers, however i found it to be extremely successful. I chose my model to wear a floaty dress and use a light-weight scarf as this would create dream-like motions underwater; also inspired by Elena Kalis. I also took seperate pictures of the scarf and edited them in multiple times to make it look like the model was surrounded.
This photo is also a particular favourite from the shoot. I really liked the reflection of the model in the water above her head, i chose only half of her face to be in the water as i found this to be very surreal and eery, which i quite liked as it was different from the others. I also liked how clear the reflection is, which gives it a mirrored-effect. To edit this image i chose to enhance the colours in the dress and make them brighter and more vibrant, i also used the dodge tool to darken the lines behind the model to make them stand out more as i felt this gave the image more depth. Again this image was inspired by Elena Kalis, an attempt to replicate her dream like motions and still images. One thing i would change about this image, if i could do it again, would be to ensure the the lines behind the model was straight as i feel this would look more effective as the symmetry would be on point.
This image is my favourite out of the whole shoot. I really liked the way the scarf curved around the models body, outlining the waters motions. I also liked the way the model has her eyes open as i feel this is more effective and surreal because it is an unlikely scenario. I also favoured the reflections of the scarf and water above the models head, and the way they ripple as this creates a nice pattern, which i believe makes the image more effective. When editing this image, i chose to again, enhance the colour in the models dress, and the butterflies in the scarf, as this gives the image a differentiation in colour as it is mainly blue/green. One thing i would change about this image is the shadow that the scarf creates on the models face, as i feel this makes the model look a bit ghostly and scared, rather than neutral and dream-like.

This image was a response to one of Elena Kalis' photos. I aimed to replicate this image by ensuring the model stood on her tip toes with the scarf drifting behind her. I also made sure her head was above the water as this was the same in Elena Kalis' image. I felt the response was a success as the images are very similar, only differing in clarity and a slight colour tinge. Again, i really liked the reflection above the model, as appears as a distorted mirrored effect of the model underwater. When editing this image i decided not to change alot as i wanted it to remain similar to the image i aimed to replicate, therefore i altered the brightness and contrast slightly and left it at that.
This image was one of the weaker photos from my shoot, the reason being i didnt particularly like the models expression that much as she looks too tense, which was not what i was aiming for. However, i attempted to edit the image to try and make it more visually pleasing. I used the cloning tool to clone snippets of the scarf so that it looked as if it completely surrounded her, which i hoped would make the image seem more eery. I also distorted the reflection above the model and made the ripples bigger as i wanted them to stand out more. Overall, this image was a weaker image from the shoot, however it does withold apsects that make it successful.
