ISTD - Nine Lives 2019/2020
During my final year I was given the opportunity to enter the ISTD (International Society
of Typographic Designers) They issue numerous briefs each year and I chose the brief entitled ‘Migration’. I decided to do my project about cats and their migrational/navigational habits and instincts. It was mainly focusing on the connection they have with the Earth’s geomagnetic fields and how this helps them to find their way back to specific places.
I went through a lot of iterations and ended up with a small sized book that was targeted
at people who love cats and people who have friends who love cats: “The perfect gift for you cat loving friend”. This project was obviously typographically led and I included a lot
of infographics.
