As a boy, I was able to spend hours walking in the woods and becoming acquainted with the way the trees looked, smelled and felt. Each visit to the forest brought new experiences combined with old tree companions that I would visit day by day, year by year. From those early days, I was drawn like a magnet to the white trees of the forest, their pale bark whispering their secrets.
