What happens when the world’s biggest artificial tropical resort is build right next to a small village in the former GDR?
The documentary describes the strange relationship between the inhabitants of the little village Brand, known for its high unemployment rate, and the new tropical paradise: from the promising day of its opening in 2004 until 3 years later when the tropical paradise must close down temporarily leaving the village again to an uncertain future.
