What is Plaza Desain?
Plaza Design is an annual event held by the School of Design, Bina Nusantara University since 2001. This year, Plaza Design 2013 is named “Graphivora”, a combination of two words which are graphi (graphic) and vora (eater), giving the meaning of graphic eater or a form of art for the creative students that is always thirsty for creativity and endeavours for progress and flourish.
Plaza Design Graphivora 2013 aims to become a part of the growing process of the creative industry to preserve the national culture, mentality of the nation’s development and social development of Indonesian citizens.
The theme of our event this year is “modern memphis city” that is a form of creative area that is symbolised by the city and memphis design movement. Memphis’ design movement is chosen because it contains bright colours and unique shapes that are able to evoke friendly feelings and a sense of excitement that is easy to understand, and will draw the attention of the laity.

I got a chance to create a bumper for Plaza Desain's promotional video. The concept I had in mind was pretty simple, "Show-off those colorful elements and logo".
Its been a blast for me to participate in this event and having a little contribution. Plaza Desain will come back next year in Jakarta and be part of it! Cheers!
