The Business Card Project
A couple weeks ago I set out on a long journey to create a business card. I have never created a business card in my life, and to be honest it was scary because I never truly have worked with font on such a small scale.. or maybe ever! But nonetheless, I was excited!

I started off by sketching card thumbnails and mainly focusing on what layout I wanted/where I wanted my information to go.
I then took those sketches and converted them to digital sketches, which was tricky because what I thought would look good digitalized, did not! So I had to do some rearranging and some thinking.
And then from there, I narrowed down the designs and made 9 more variations based some of the designs above.
Next, I chose ONLY three versions I would want to refine.
I then created to backs of the business cards for each of these three designs.
At this point, it was getting super hard to narrow down and choose one single font to work with. But, that was the next step that needed to be done. I chose to carry on with Scala Pro. In addition to an already hard choice, I now had to incorporate COLOR!!! In my opinion, the hardest part because this could really make or break the card!
Throughout this whole process I had been receiving valuable critique and advice from font choice, arrangement, to color! After these color variations, I received feedback that would push me to choose one color scheme and fix small layout problems to optimize my color and layout.

It was very difficult to choose a color scheme from all of these, but what was most important to me was did this business card represent me, not only with the layout and font choice, but with the colors. With this thought in mind, I was able to choose my final color scheme and fix my final business card.
And here it is!!!!!
