LUNAR CHAIR - Corrugated Cardboard Furniture
The main concept of this project was to design a corrugated cardboard chair using different shapes other than several box shapes.

This design is a combination of the basic three geometrical shapes; the circle, the square, and the triangle. In general, shapes with curves are considered softer and they are considered to resemble the connection within a community.

Thus, the chair is names as the "Lunar Chair" in order to symbolize this connection within a community, as the Moon is considered to be an universal object; which basically belongs to the Earth or to everyone on the Earth.

This chair falls into the category of lounge chairs, an armless recliner, designed for relaxing.

It is also outlined to minimize the waste of materials, hence, it only needs 9 sheets of 4' x 4' corrugated cardboard to build this chair.
In addition, it can also be dismantled into "A" and "B" pieces and can be transported or stored easily without consuming a lot of space.
The design utilizes simple slot joinery as the fixing method for the pieces, which allows it to be easily assembled.

This allows the furniture to be more user-friendly and it comes with an assembly manual as well.
