FREEDOM OF SPEECH

IS THIS FREEDOM OF SPEECH?
I feel that freedom of expression and freedom of the press is one of the fundamental human rights we should all share in this time. We need to appreciate the fact that we have the privilege to express our emotions and thoughts freely without being inappropriately punished or banned for our actions. Not long ago freedom of speech was not as free as now, but time has changed, and now we can express ourselves on social media, such as Facebook and Twitter and people are not scared to oppose or agree to the situation. This mass change is comparable to protest on the street where people would show their emotions, but with posters. It is easier and faster to write a comment on social media because you are hidden behind a computer screen than shouting in a crowd because you need to develop the effort to make a poster, go there, shout and stand by your opinion. The government had no choice than to adapt to the trend that has change the way of expressing feelings to certain topics. The only way they can “protect” themselves is to block or erase comments that could compromise their image.
I think that First Amendment should only be for free spoken speech and not for social media platforms. This is because I believe that a person hidden behind the computer screen will never face the harsh reality of conflict in person because they are scared of disapproval.
The paradox of free speech for politicians is that they could say everything including the truth but other politics or people in the government could reveal compromising information about this person. So for them it is better to stay quiet. That is why the corruption in Slovakia is such a big issue.
I think that in a democratic republic the murder of two innocent people that have the power of free speech should not to be acceptable.
