A popular street snack in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, satay consists of grilled meat on skewers. Mutton, beef and chicken are the most common meats used, and is often served with a peanut dipping sauce.

In Singapore, it is often paired with cucumber slices and ketupats (rice wrapped in palm leaves)
