For this sample I used embroidery thread to stitch some different shapes and sizes of coral. Which turned out very dainty as I used the embroidery hoop as a guide for the circle shape. I think it also works really well that each one is different suggesting not two pieces of nature are the same.

This sample of couching was inspired by barnacles and I really liked the texture and pattern it created with only using scrap fabric pieces. 

On the other hand this was a sample of trying out a technique of embroidery that creates a very aesthetically pleasing leaf design.

For this concept I wanted to play around with the main colour scheme and elements of a beach through coloured patterned material. So by placing them and then stitching into it made it look like the seaside.

Similar to the first image this one was a stitched coral design but i found this thread that was lots of shades of green which made it look more interesting and tactile.
