Killa' Beez Brewing Company is entirely inspired by none other than the Wu-Tang Clan. The classic rap group not only changed rap forever by leaving an imprint on the genre, but they have left their imprint on the world and continue to do so this day. This cultured group is not only a group of rap icons, but they are an entire lifestyle and that is the feeling I want my brewing company to expel. As time went on with our designs for the cans above, the overall product has only become more and more aesthetically pleasing and clean.
Starting with the sketch of a simple sword in a hand, to the final product of a clean fist holding a sword, it has been quite the journey. When I brought that original sketch into a program, I developed a rough sketchy type of illustration and a font with a brutal block stroke effect on it. After further revision, the font was right, but no stroke was necessary due to the thin lines used to make up the font. The hand needed so much work and the sword looked unnatural.
The other design didn't fit the look I was going for either, so back to the board I went and I truly believe the product that we have standing in front of you today is clean and pleasing to the eye.
