Our assignment was to create two abstract compositions using only 5-8 letters/glyphs - one composition using sans serif, and one compositions using serif glyphs. Each composition was to use only black and white glyphs with at least two of each color per design. The typefaces I used were Neue Haas Grotesk (sans serif) and Stempel Garamond Roman (serif). The purpose of this assignment was to show the personality of the font and to gain an understanding of the shapes and particulars of the different typefaces.
