This is the first project I did by myself as an animator. Done in AKV|StJoost, an art academy in the Netherlands, the assignment was to take the initial line of the Arctic Monkey's "Do I wanna know" video, and reinterpret it according to our goals in animation.

I envisioned the line as an umbilical cord-type, exploring the various types of connections human experience in life, from the creation to another human being, to the ultimate goodbye.

Production wise, I made three passes: TVPaint Animation for the frame by frame animation, After Effects for the cleaning and colour correcting, and ultimately Final Cut Pro for the audio sync and editing.
