Work with a team to design and publish the annual art and literary journal of Anderson University.
SOLUTION
Since 1964, Anderson University has published a yearly art and literary journal to showcase the work of students and alumni. The goal of the publication is to spread the word about the university’s talented students.
The purpose of the project was to create a minimal and structured book, focusing on art and literature submitted by students and alumni. A unified grid system was utilized to allow optimal uniformity throughout the 84 pages. Each page was given certain rules regarding where images, headers, and body text could be placed. This allowed consistency for readers as their eyes traveled through the publication.
The concept for it was to be as minimal as possible, so that the work could speak for itself. The solution was a simple, clean art and literary journal that was able to be printed affordably and to be distributed to students and staff of Anderson University.
