2ND Place - Campbell's V8 Juice Marketing Case Competition

🎉 I won 2nd place in the 2023 Michigan Advertising & Marketing X BBA Marketing Club Marketing Strategy Case Competition sponsored by Campbell's! The competition was tough, and it is an incredible privilege to say that I competed solo against 17 exceptional teams consisting of 3-4 individuals.

💡The case prompt challenged me to recommend innovative, consumer-centric strategies to address the barriers in growing the V8 Juice business with younger consumers based on my findings of the category, competition, and target consumers. I also analyzed potential investment needs, financial benefits, and brand risks associated with my recommendations.

Background

Sofar Sounds is a U.K. based community platform that brings the appreciation back in concerts with rising artists playing for smaller crowds in local, non-traditional venues.

Sofar Sounds has 3 pillars which are fundamental to their success as a business.

1. Artists
2. Communities
3. Hosts

If one aspect of the business does not thrive, there is a problem.

When returning to operating shows worldwide, it is anticipated that the host community will be vastly affected by the pandemic - mass closures and redundancies will result in contacts no longer working there and a general reluctance to host shows in their space.

The Ask

Create a renovated “Host Benefits” package to incentivize venues (residential and commercial) to host events post-COVID restrictions, which enables them to thrive whilst hosting Sofar shows at their space and would be an attractive offering for any business that has not hosted shows previously.

During the Biden administration, Judge Katanji Brown Jackson was confirmed to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. She is considered a likely candidate for an eventual Supreme Court Nomination. Recognizing the historical importance of the first Black woman appointed to the Supreme Court, the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights requested concepts for video content that would celebrate the moment and inspire marginalized girls and women. Brennan Bogert and I drafted these concepts in response.
