An Alabama resident in Birmingham, Scott Sink has worked with McGriff Insurance Services, Inc. since 1994. Prior to working for the Birmingham-based risk management and insurance company, Scott Sink graduated with a degree in risk management and insurance from University of Georgia’s (UGA) Terry College of Business.

In November 2020, the Institute for Leadership Advancement (ILA) of Terry College of Business received a $10 million pledge from fast food giant Chick-fil-A. The ILA’s mission is to give students the tools to become well-rounded community members through teaching self-development, effective communication, teamwork, innovation, and adaptation in an ever-changing business world.

The funds from the Chick-fil-A pledge will go toward expanding three main areas within the ILA. The first order of business will be the growth of the ILA Leadership Fellows Program to include a new group of UGA undergraduates for both the fall and spring semesters. The award will also be applied to increase course offerings, which are open to all UGA students. Finally, it will be used to pay for the annual professional development symposium offering leadership training to professionals in the surrounding community.
