Hand Printed Baby Swaddles
Following our integration into Portugal Manual network, we were challenged by Filipa Belo to develop two hand printed baby saddles. This type of scarf can be quite advantageous in the first months of life by providing the confort that the baby was used to while sleeping on the mother's belly.
We used 100% cotton muslin that warms but is naturally breathable and lightweight. To print we opted for the block print technique with rubber stamps for the versatility of the technique and for the printing itself that puts less ink on the fabric, not crossing it and giving a translucent look.
