This is the first live brief I have done in my own time outside of college. The brief was to create a logo, a flyer and a business card for a spiritual advice and guidance service that had just started up. I worked closely with the client to achieve the vision they had in mind and it went a little something like this...

During the brief taste of freedom that the government allowed us at the end of summer, me and the client met for a friendly, informal chat to discuss the brief over a pint. During our conversation I compiled a few notes and even got to work on some initial sketches based on what the client had in mind for their logo.

During our conversation, I took the client through a few ideas and colour palettes to get an idea of they were looking for. I then moved the chosen ideas and colours into illustrator to extract the hex codes of said chosen colours using the eyedropper tool. I did this to have a reference during the designing process.

After completing my logo it was time to move on to the flyer and the business card. below is the flyer design that the client came to me with, which had been made on a free mobile-editing software. Now this image was fine. I guess. However, as you can see the picture in the background has many colours and textures that swallow the white text over it, so something had to be done. 

I was given this image to work with, and was told the classic "creative freedom" line. So, politely pushing the client to be a little bit less agreeable, we worked together to work on a few different thumbnails, analysing as we went and troubleshooting different layouts.

Unfortunately during the process of working on the flyer and business card I did not compile any notes or screenshots of the progress, though the client was very happy with the outcomes, and they have since been printed and are now being used.
