A substantial chunk of our time is spent fiddling with gadgets and online browsing. For a lot of people, this involves online discussions, exchange of comments, sharing of thoughts, be it on a news website, your favorite music website, or reddit. This, of course, has its perks. We are able to converse and argue with people who are continents away in real time. Most of the time, however, whether you realise it or not, a lot of people do this because they don't have an offline outlet or space to do this. It can be hard to find people who want to talk about the same topic you do, especially when it comes to very specific topics or articles. Others also do it because they simply enjoy being able to know what other people - strangers - think and how they view an issue - to try to understand a problem from a fresh perspective.

JQZ is a new hybrid of a bar and a forum. It is an attempt to address the issue stated above by providing a space for people to discuss various topics offline. Discussions are held every weekend on various topics, ranging from political, ethical, to health and entertainment. Special events such as book reading or album listening parties are also organized occasionally, where people can talk and share their opinions afterwards. These events also allow people to meet others who are interested in the same topics and things as them. Unlike when joining some fan clubs or special interest groups, attendance is free and not compulsory. When JQZ aren't hosting these events, it runs as a bar where drinks are served and friends unite.

The identity itself is built around the the three least popular latin alphabets ; J, Q, and Z - in ascending order. This results in the morse code for the letters being some of the longest of the bunch.
