'LIGHTFALL' is an interactive media installation art in which visitors experience the light from their existence. It offers consolation and admiration for existence through the light.

[ TECHNOLOGY ]

'LIGHTFALL' uses the micro controller board—Arduino Mega and Arduino Uno. LED strips(3m, 27 lines) were divided into 3 lines and connected to Uno (sub board), which were then connected to the Mega (main board) that controls the sensor, so that the work could be operated. Each sub board is responsible for 540 LEDs and controls a total of 4,860 LEDs. Based on 3 animations, the LED has been coded so that the light changes immediately according to sensor recognition of the sensor.

'LIGHTFALL'은 마이크로 컨트롤러 보드인 아두이노 메가와 우노를 사용합니다. 3m LED 스트립 27줄을 3줄 씩 나눠 9대의 우노(서브보드)에 연결하고, 이를 다시 센서를 제어하는 메가(메인보드)에 연결하여 작품이 운영되도록 설계했습니다. 이때 각 서브보드는 540개의 LED를 담당하여 총 4,860개의 LED를 제어합니다. LED는 세 가지 애니메이션을 바탕으로 센서 인식에 따라 즉각적으로 빛이 변화하도록 코딩하였습니다.
