The Birmingham Zoo holds a donor benefit every year. A special wine is made and gifted to these donors at the event. 

At this event, the gifted wine was inspired by the Royal Pythons and the way they are revered by the Igbo people of Nigeria. Too often snakes are depicted in violent and dark manners. To combat this and display them in a more positive light, bright colors were chosen to better represent the snake as a docile and beautiful animal.
