WHY 'GLABROUS'?

The 'Rugged' were the predecessors of the 'Glabrous', they had a skillion roof with a
large overhang. Consequently, the newest model became 'Glabrous' when the former skillion got replaced with an accessible, flat, green roof terrace. In other words, the 'Rugged' took off their 'hats' and became 'Glabrous'. The architect, Ivan Shalmin often personifies his buildings, giving nicknames of this kind to all his projects, to help formulate the concept behind the design. This new model also came about as the final crystallization of the architect's guiding principles - the laconist manifesto. So 'Glabrous' also refers
to the shedding of all the unnecessary.
