An interactive animation designed to help the viewer get out of their heads and into their bodies.

As someone who loves to experience as much as she can, it's easy to get overwhelmed nowadays. Being sure I'm not alone in that, I wanted my graduation project to focus on getting back in touch with my body when my mind felt overwhelmed. A task that's easy on paper, but proved to be quite difficult in practice.
Though I do enjoy a good read about 'what to do when the senses get overloaded' applying text to real life isn't always an easy task. Which is why I wanted to search for practical ways to encourage the body and calm the mind.
Bit parts of this project were the ideas and concepts of mindfulness and multi-sensory design. I created an interactive animation that combined sound design and haptic animation in an attempt to stimulate the body.
In the animation the viewer kept having to choose between two statements (for example 'My breathing is light' or 'My breathing is heavy'). They chose whichever one was truer to them and the animation reacted to their answers. This created a unique experience which, while highly stylized, was very personal to the viewer.
