The objective of this project was to make an animation of any kind. The purpose was to become somewhat familiar with After Effects. I have to be honest that this wasn't the easiest learning curve for me. I'm hoping to keep at it and become better at animating. At the start of this project, I had a completely different concept in mind. I wasn't sure how it would work, so I switched to a new concept. It's near Christmas time so the nativity came to mind and I wanted to focus on Mary and Jesus primarily.

These are my sketches for the nativity. Once again, I wanted the focus to be on Mary holding Jesus. Whatever else was incorporated wouldn't take away from them.

This was my draft of the animation. When I shared it with my classmates I asked for ways to make the hay look better. I got some advice on this, but I also received critique on making the stars stand out a bit. I applied all of the suggestions to my final animation.

My animation turned out well. I think it's decent for being my first one. Again, I hope to get better with more practice.
