WEDDING CARD DESIGN
The Shahi Joda
A very close friend commissioned me to create a quirky and vibrant Indian wedding invitation. The theme for the wedding was The Shahi Joda which translates to The Royal Couple, the wedding card was designed keeping in mind the aesthetics of the Indian Royalty.
Breaking away from the traditional Indian card design, the three leaf invitation is a fun take on playing card design. Indian King and Queen of Hearts were designed to portray the bride and groom with a combination of bright colors and simple motifs. The detailing makes the card look very ornate and playful overall. The use of lively colors and simple elements were repeated to formulate a pattern of sort which makes the entire card intricate. The contrasting colours compliment each other and brings life to the design.
