This was a simple and relaxing project I made for an After Effects tutorial I'm working on.
Since face morphing scares a lot of AE users, I thought it was a good chance to try and show how to do it.
The first step was to identify the main poses and lock them in the timeline.
So I kept refining the animation until it was smooth enough (for a tutorial), then it was the turn of the background shapes.
I spent the last hours on the details: the random movement of hair, a glow effect on the glasses and some little adjustments.
It took me 1 day to finish the animation.
