Re-thinking retail - Carbon is a bike shop that focuses on the idea of elimating CO2 emmisions in Wellington City. The store targets those who live in the city area and encourages them to ride a bike instead of driving a car. The store fitout is made from recyled stacked wood, acknowledging the ideas of sustainable retail. 

 

The store is layed out so customers can come in and pick up an Ipad. The Ipad contains an app that allows the customer to pick and choose the colours of each bike part as they walk past each one. Once this is complete they take their order to the counter, to which they can purchase. The assembled bike will arrive the following day. The shop also holds a small workshop at the rear for people to swing by whenever they need something fixed.
