Camera Obscura : Pinhole Camera

This is my very first time making my own pinhole camera out of paper and Lego.
There are two main parts to this camera (Interior & exterior) plus accessories.

1: Interior
I used a template from http://corbis.readymech.com/en and only used the interior parts. I used the Pablo design because there are two pinholes for me to experiment with.

2: Exterior
I wanted to design my own camera with Lego. The reason why I used Lego is because it allows me to create an interesting form with a little challenge of having limited resources. I also went with the conecpt of geometric shapes from everyday objects.

The Design
In order to have a more user friendly camera, I designed the front of the camera so that it is able to hold and easily slide the colour filters. I can also switch the front between one or two pinhole to allow me to use both types of cameras. Because I wanted to test out the two different types of cameras, I designed the top to be rotatable so I can easily change interiors.

3: Accessories
I also made some accessories from recycled objects. I wanted to test out some coloured filters and round edged objects. For the colour filters, I used a clear plastic and coloured it with different colour Sharpies.  For the rounded edged objects, I wanted to see if I can create some sort of fish eye effect. I know it wouldn’t turn out to be like the actual fish eye effect, but I want to see what I can use to change the outcome of the images.

Other than the trying out the accessoriesi've made, I wanted to experiment with the exposor time for each image.
I wanted to take close up pictures of daily objects to show the interesting hidden geometries. These objects were seen everyday, but how many people actually look at them closely? I took pictures of the newspaper stand in different angles and close ups.

There are different exposers for each photo. I tried between few seconds to 3 min. In some photos, it has a clear line between the left and right. I see that the differents between the left and right side of the photo can merge together like a blend.
